Cork — 2027 season
2027 cork season — sampling Apr–May, stripping May–Aug 2027 · Pre-registration open. We're preparing the first auctions with producers from Alentejo, Ribatejo and Coruche and gathering direct feedback from people trading Iberian cork.
What's planned
- Cork auctions (reproduction 1st & 2nd, secondary) in the 2027 season: sampling Apr–May, stripping May–Aug.
- No minimum volume promise per auction — each lot is defined by the producer.
- 0% commission during the launch phase (until 31 Mar 2027); afterwards 1.5% paid by the buyer. The producer never pays commission.
Terms
- Identities revealed when the contract is finalised.
- Direct SEPA producer → buyer (Tradeizi never holds the product payment).
- Written contract between the parties.
- VAT + address verification before auction participation.
How it works
- Intro call — 15 min to understand volumes, quality and timing.
- Letter of intent — documents intent, does not commit volume.
- Lot publication — producer sets reserve, caliber, stripping year, incoterms.
- Auction — 48h-7d window (configurable); anti-snipe enabled.
- Contract + SEPA — identities revealed, written contract, delivery.
FAQ
How much does it cost?
For the producer: nothing — producers never pay commission and receive 100%. During the launch phase (until 31 Mar 2027) there is no commission; afterwards 1.5% of the closed lot value, paid by the buyer. No listing fee, no auction fee.
Can I back out?
Yes. Before you publish a lot there's no commitment. After publication, cancellation is subject to auction rules (see terms).
Who sees my data?
Only the Tradeizi team (verification) until contract signature. Buyers see technical lot characteristics (caliber, stripping year, certification), not producer name or address.
What if I don't have cork to sell in 2027?
No problem. We'd like to talk to producers, associations and processors — for platform pricing, not only immediate sales.
